Spring is definitely here...

Today's feature is three energetic little girls! Well, that isn't true - the baby is pretty mellow. But every time I see the girls they make me laugh and alllllllmost wish I had more little ones!
We headed out to a local park and took some fun and candid shots...

Thanks for spending the morning with me!

Too cute!!!

I haven't seen this family in a while...they had a new addition to their family, so it was someone new for me to meet.

As soon as the older boy started getting shy on me, I did my math quickly, and asked Mom "Is he two???"

She answered in the affirmative, and I knew that he was gonna make me work for my pay!

They had on the cutest Easter outfits... I couldn't get over how adorable the baby was with his hat~

And then once he saw how much fun the baby was having, and that I really wasn't going to bite him, he decided to change into his Laker gear too and sit with brother...

Field trip!

I took a day off and we went on a field trip with our homeschooling group to the Devil's Punchbowl.
Don't worry, there is nothing evil about it!

It was especially nice because my kids had spent the night at Grandma's house (who happens to be minutes away from the PunchBowl) so I made the morning drive by myself. Which meant I could stop and take pictures at my leisure and I didn't have to explain to anyone why...
This series will be in two sets - scenic first, and then people photos second...

This grove of trees I have been meaning to take a picture of. Its on the way to my mother in laws house, but my husband hates to stop when we are so close. So I did!

This is a shot of the mountains after one makes the turn and goes behind the first set of hills. you can't see it this well from the Highway.

The Loop trail was a good hike... the next time we go I definitely want to take more time and relax down by the stream. The kids were just so excited they turned it into a power hike.
Afterwards we went to Grandma's house to have lunch...what a great day!

More Little League...

I take a ton of pictures of my son's games, but I also have two daughters that play. I manage my younger daughter's team. The bad part is that they play at night, and I am trying to keep score, and make sure my pitchers are throwing correctly..its hard to get good shots.
But here is my little Bean and one of her teammates...

At one of her favorite positions...

And then her friend....

These two can throw the ball around for hours! Both of them have older sister that play in the Junior division, so while those girls practice, these two will practice throwing or pitching.

I can't wait to get some of my older daughter. The last two night games have been intense!!!

A quick session...

I had to show one of these... I am a bit partial to law enforcement.

This session was done very quickly, and we got a ton of good shots! Adults can be a nice change from non-cooperating newborns, lol!

Thanks, you guys!

The baby that wouldn't sleep...

What a busy weekend! But I managed to squeeze in a session with this family. What a marathon session! We had two sets of grandparents, and a godmother along with the blessed family.
The baby wouldn't sleep. We would think he was, then lay him down to get some snuggly shots, and those eyes would pop open!
It wasn't until the end, that he decided being up for 3-4 hours was too much and he finally went to sleep. But we didn't dare lay him down!

Thank you so much for having me over!

Little League has begun!

Opening Day went spectacular! It was a very chaotic morning, but everything went well and the things that did go wrong were no big deal.
I am so proud of my little girls' softball team! They were very well behaved and understood that when I left them with the coaches to participate in the ceremony, they were to be on even BETTER behavior. Some of the kids on other teams...ACK! I would have been so embarrassed!
ANyhow, after the ceremony, my son played in his first game.

I now know that I am not fond of shooting at Sunset Ridge fields. Usually I position myself outside the dugout in the openings, but at this park the opening is IN the dugout. Yes, I have a long lens, but still. Only the team and coaches are supposed to be in there. But the coach and I are on good terms, so I am able to go in there and take pictures.

He may be 7 and tiny, but this boy can put the bat on the ball!

The opposing coach in this picture is a really nice guy. I had a hard time choosing a manager for my son this year.

I said, "Who is the cutest ball player on the team?" He said "I am, Mommy!"

Family and 4 month old!

On Friday, this family came into the studio for portraits!
The baby was a little fussy and we tried EVERYTHING! Since little ones tend to be so fickle, we decided to finish up their session later (this coming Monday)

But for now, this is what we have so far:

Thanks for coming in, and being so patient! I will see you Monday!!

An interesting job...

Yesterday I went to the St. John of God Healthcare Services facility out in Victorville. I've passed it millions of times but never took that road that leads in.
It was an interesting trip, and as I was shooting, the staff members were extremely gracious to share information about what they do and the types of people they help.
The residents were all very nice and willing to cooperate.
There were four sites to visit, and I met many very nice people.
The pictures that I took will be used for their website and other materials.

Always nice to be able to shoot different types of jobs, but tomorrow I am back to my favorite subjects - KIDS!
