2- year olds are.....

sassy, independent, stubborn, exasperating, but above all....
FUN!

It's been a while since I have photographed a two-year old...even longer since I've had one of my own. I will say though - the words "NO MOMMY!" are waaaaaay funnier to hear when its not your kid. I couldn't stop laughing.

I have been photographing this little girl since she was uhhhh...2 months? Maybe 4 months. She calls me by my name and it sounds sooo cute!

I should have known we were in trouble when this started:

I think she might be yelling at me...

We told her smell the flowers...wrong end...

She wanted to show off her ride...complete with plastic hanger antennae...

Her doing a somersault..check out the heels!

Is she telling me to kiss her ***?!?!

Oh, I could go on with the outtakes! But fortunately for Mom (and ME!) we were able to get some cute shots.

Two year olds are all about personality. They are little people who haven't learned to hold back yet, and that is what makes them so cool. :D

Happy 2nd birthday, Birdie!

15 days...

is way too long to go with out a post!
But life has been busy in the Nancarrow household. I have been finishing up the pictures from a wedding last month, trying to stay organized, meeting with clients, etc.
And my family demands a lot of time...my oldest daughter just turned 14, she started a class twice a week at the local community college, I injured my back on Sunday that required a visit to urgent care, and then Wednesday my younger daughter broke her arm after softball practice! Of course that was the biggie, because now I have to help her with her daily routine of getting dressed, bathing, grooming, and so on. She is a trooper though.
But of course the big thing taking up my time is Little League. So much work goes into organizing, collaborating, meetings, coaching....*sigh*
I wouldn't have it any other way - the reward is 700+ kids having a great season, and I put extra effort into 36 of them.
My 7 year old son is on the Twins, so now we have 2 Twins and 1 Lady Yankee! It will be fun!
In addition to all this extra stuff, I still have my normal duties of homeschooling, cooking, cleaning, and playing softball. Last night my Friday team won our first game of the season. It was freezing cold! Tomorrow we will play our rivals in the Sunday league!

***************************************************************
And as usual, I have a few sessions to post...

This is Michelle - she is loan agent for the very new Alaska Credit Union! She is very professional and great at her job. So if you are looking for a new home - she can help you out!

One of these shots is going to be on her business cards...as you can see, she is very beautiful (but she is TAKEN!) so no matter which one she chooses, she can't go wrong :D

Pageant time!

Its that time of year again - Miss Barstow pageant is getting ready to start and I get to photograph adorable girls!!!
Today I had this young lady...she had a little trouble relaxing, but thanks to a crazy friend of MOm in the background she managed to loosen up and let me capture some great smiles!

Thank you so much for coming in - I wish you lots of luck!!!!

Groundhog Day!

Happy Groundhog Day everyone!
Looks like another 6 weeks of winter..I don't know how happy I am with that, but I will deal with it.
The draft was last night, so at least I was able to get that out of the way...I got my number #1 pick, and several other girls that I wanted. Fortunately for me, none of the other managers were interested in most of the girls I wanted, so easy pickings!
Today I re-shot a portion of a session I did a couple of weeks ago.. the high key white did not go over as well as I had hoped. If I would have had this cream colored backdrop with me that day, I would have used it.

But it gave me a chance to see this little cutie again, so it was worth it!

And she was done!

Thank you for coming by today!
