Fun with Brianna!

Since we can't seem to get the pettiskirt off of her, I asked her to pose for some high key images. I love this look - very clean and crisp looking. I hope to do more of these images this winter, but not until I get a better handle on the technique. Not bad for my first time though!
October is just a few days away, and I have something very special planned for the month! Something to kick off the season of harvest and give a nudge to get people in the giving mood! Check back in a few days and see what is up!

I'm almost done proofing the session - just had to share one more that I really liked.

Sweet, sweet Peyton.....

I absolutely loved my session today! Not because the baby was cooperate (she wasn't) and it certainly wasn't because she was happy (because she really wasn't!!!)

She is just so darn cute, and all of her tiny movements and features tugged at me the entire time! Not to mention, her mother had such ADORABLE little outfits picked out for her!
But enough of my talk - lets see some pictures~



This session was done entirely in natural light. I do prefer to shoot this way when its a newborn or a baby. The constant popping of the strobe tends to scare the babies and then they spend the whole session crying.

I can't wait to see what color her eyes end up being - right now they are a mystery and she really didn't open them enough for me to see.

Girls love to Twirl!

oooooh I love this! We received out first petti today and my daughter won't take it off! I don't know why I waited so long, but now I am hooked! I should have a few more arriving in a couple of weeks.
So if you have a girl who loves dressing up, then book a mini session and she can have 20 minutes of twirling in this adorable outfit! You provide the top, and the skirt will be here. Or you can book a full session and have this as one of your clothing changes!



Currently I only have size 6-6x but it can be reduced to fit a size 4, or extended to a size 8 (a bit snug though) If you are still interested in a session, but with a smaller/larger skirt size, let me know and I can get one to fit your daughter.

Fun with my oldest...

My oldest daughter recently got glasses for distance sight. She was really bummed out because she felt like glasses were going to make her ugly. Well today we went and took some shots and she was very pleased to see that she is still very pretty.
Some people have problems with their child's low self-esteem...I think I have it the other way around. My daughter thinks she's gorgeous.
Well, I think so too!

Glasses can sometimes be a problem for photographers, with the glare from whatever light source reflecting back into the glasses. She got the nice Featherweights, but with out the anti-glare. Now I have a chance to perfect portraits with glasses!

Tomorrow is a non-studio day, but Saturday I will be doing a session with a large family. So be sure to check back for peeks at their session!

Mini Session dates!

I was able to pick out some dates for the mini sessions.

Outdoor mini-sessions will be on Wednesday, September 3rd between 9am and 3pm and Saturday, September 13th from 10am to 6pm.
Indoor mini-sessions will be on Wednesday, September 17th between 9am and 3pm and
Saturday, September 27th from 10am to 6pm.

Mini-sessions will be $10 and include 20 minutes of shooting time. Also, every order will come with a special secret bonus!

I also want to send a special CONGRATULATIONS to Shannon and Jeff on the birth of their daughter, as well as another CONGRATULATIONS to Lynn and Leroy on the birth of their son! I can't wait to meet your precious babies in person!
