Happy Friday!

Taking a break between boudoir sessions to upload some pictures for a client and just mess around until the next client gets here...
One of the newest things that I just added is my Facebook profile badge on the right hand side of this page. I am thinking about a Facebook fan page, but at this point I don't know if I can really keep up with it...with all the stuff I have going on. You see how good I am with my blog, right? lol

My husband and I decided on our team name for Minor A girls this season. We will be the Minnesota Twins! Last year we chose the Tampa Bay Rays for our pee-wee and junior girls team, this year we wanted something a little different. Not all the minor B boys coaches have been selected yet, so if Tim gets one of those spots, he will try to keep the name the same as well. Fewer sweatshirts that I have to buy! So to those parents that we have talked to about having your son with us, start looking at Twins gear! LOL!

Tomorrow is try-outs - can't wait for the season to start! The league has a lot of things planned for the year, it will be a blast!

Children's Session

Like I mentioned in my last post, I had a busy week leading up to my vacation. This session was one of them!
These girls are so gorgeous! I had met the oldest when she was just a little thing, hanging on Mama's hip! Now she is a BIG sister, and a good big sister too~

The baby is such a little ham! And I really think the older girl will outgrow her aversion to the camera. With Mom's year of free sessions available, I think she will be comfy in front of the camera in no time!

Today I learned that Kiddie Kandids is closing. Someone who was looking to book her daughter's birthday session let me know. Kind of sad for all the people losing their jobs. :( I've never been to a KK, but I always see a line of people in there when I go to the mall.

On a more positive note, Little League tryouts are this weekend and that just makes me happy and excited for the new season! I have 3 kids that play, and I am always running from one field to another!

Tomorrow I will post some pictures from my vacations, and Friday I probably won't have anything because I have two For His Eyes Only sessions back to back on Friday, plus an ordering session in the evening. For my clients' privacy, I do not post those sessions.

Everyone have a wonderful week!

Week 1 of HOLIDAYS!

Week 1 is coming to a close...what fun I have had!
Before I left, I did a children's session and a wedding, so I already had a lot of processing to do when I came back on Wednesday for my "For His Eyes Only" session. By the way - I really enjoyed shooting pin-up style this time around :)
So I am slowly making my way through the processing, and ordering sessions will be begin again soon.
I had a great time in Las Vegas with my husband, it was much needed time away for both of us. :D
The weather here in the High Desert has been crazy, rain, snow and hail..so this morning we are going to help out some flooded families. Lend a hand to your neighbor if they need it! A lot of the dirt roads took a beating, and one of the streets close to us has a HUGE sinkhole!
Next week we will be gone from Mon-Thurs, and sessions will resume on February 1st. The final day for boudoir sessions will be Feb 4th, and February 7th with a $25 rush delivery.
Lots of fun sessions coming up, beauty pageant hopefuls, more boudoir and of course my daughter's 14th birthday pictures in which she is planning her own session. She's excited- I'm a little scared at what she will come up with!

Back from Holidays!

Only one more day of my break and I plan on playing softball tomorrow.

The first week of the year is usually reserved for catching up on paperwork, revising my pricing, and collecting receipts for the dreaded tax man!

I have a new wedding information packet, and I am almost finished with my portrait client handbook. Its very pretty - I hope to show it off very soon!

I am set to go on vacation on January 18th. Nowhere far, but we are hitting amusement parks and beaches and its kind of a working vacation, because there are some sessions sandwiched in here and there. I can't wait to share some of them!

For most of January, I will probably be posting some shots of my kids with my new backdrops and new light modifiers, just to get some practice in.
My oldest daughter is turning 14 in about a month, so of course I have to do some annual portraits of just her. I'm hoping she is out of that awkward stage and embraces the camera and her beauty.
I am also looking to update certain parts of my portfolio, it is all TFCD (trade for CD) which means you give me your time and I give you your images on CD.

Until next time, I hope everyone has a great week!
